Born in 1975 in Kurino-cho (now Yusui-cho) at the foot of Mount Kirishima in Kagoshima Prefecture.
After graduating from Kagoshima National College of Technology in 1995, he worked as a bridge designer.
But he was drawn to antique pottery and decided to pursue the path of pottery.
2002: Karatsu ware studio Raizanbou becomes independent
2008: Moved the studio and opened Sankyogama kiln
