It inherits the style of e-karatsu seen at Uchida Saraya Kiln, an old kiln site from 400 years ago. This e-karatsu depicts a boatman rowing a boat, and was copied by Sakurei Okamoto from a painting on pottery fired at this kiln.

His works are known for their elegant style, and give off a particularly delicate impression among Karatsu ware. The Ko-Karatsu designs are subtly drawn, but the surface will change with use, giving the pieces a more refined appearance.
