As Ido-style pottery is used, the crazing and color change, resulting in a tasteful piece that can be enjoyed for a long time.
Depending on the artist or the piece, some pieces are prone to stains and crazing after a few uses, but Naoto Yano's pieces are fired thoroughly and made of slightly hard clay, so they do not easily become crazy. The piece is intentionally made simple, and it takes 10 years of use to bring out its original flavor.
