It is a type of celadon porcelain made in the Song and Yuan dynasties of China, and is characterized by its red pattern of cinnabar in the blue.
This technique is often used by Okamoto's teacher, Shigetoshi Nakazato.
This vase has a classic shape inspired by bamboo joints, but it is well-balanced and just the right size for arranging flowers.
