This is a typical Korean Karatsu vase with ears, which has been made by many artists since ancient times.
The size is rather small, just the right size to hold tea flowers.
This piece is made using the hammering technique, but the construction and firing are very delicate, resulting in an elegant finish.
Am I the only one who gets the impression that this work is similar to the works of Nakazato Shigetoshi, the uncle of the 14th Nakazato Tarouemon?
