Born in Arita, Saga Prefecture in 1962
1985 Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Industrial, Craft and Design (Majoring in Metalwork)
1988: Studied under Professor Osamu Suzuki in Kyoto
1990: Arita, father of the 13th generation Imaizumi Imaemon, engaged in household work
1998 Saga Bank Cultural Foundation Newcomer Award
Received the Crafts Association Chairman's Award at the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition
Received the Saga Shimbun Culture Award Encouragement Prize
In 2012, he was nominated as the Secretary General of the Western Branch of the Japan Crafts Association.
Japan Ceramic Society Award
2014: Appointed president of the Arita Ceramic Art Association
Recognized as a holder of the Important Intangible Cultural Property "Colored Porcelain" (Living National Treasure)
