Biography
1943 Born in Imbe, Bizen City as the third son of Living National Treasure Toyo Kaneshige
1968 Graduated from Department of Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts
1970 Graduated from the Department of Sculpture at the same graduate school
1975 Began exhibiting ceramic works
1977 Returned to Bizen after working as a lecturer at the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Tokai University
1982 Built a kiln in Koto, Bizen City
1988 Invited to submit to the 1st Suntory Museum Grand Prize Exhibition
1991 Produced ceramic sculpture (Miyazaki Village, Fukui Prefecture)
Ceramic wall [light and wind] production (Okayama Sompo Japan Building)
1992 Invited to submit to 100 selections of Japanese ceramic art "now" exhibition (Paris)
