1949 Born in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture
1972 Graduated from the Department of Design, Faculty of Art, Kyushu Sangyo University
1973-75 Worked as a pottery instructor at the Tottori Prefectural Welfare Agency
1976 Opened "Karatsuya Craft Studio" at the current location
1990 Changed the studio name to "Karatsuya Pottery Studio"
2003 Named “Sekimizu Kiln” and continues to the present
