Born in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture in 1949
1972 Graduated from Kyushu Sangyo University, Faculty of Arts, Department of Design
1973-75: Worked as a pottery instructor at the Tottori Prefectural Welfare Foundation
1976: Opened "Karatsuya Craft Workshop" at the current location
1990: The studio name was changed to "Karatsuya Pottery Studio."
In 2003, the company was renamed "Sekisui Kiln" and continues to operate to this day.
