1927: Succeeded to the name of the 12th Nakazato Tarouemon
1929: Excavation of the remains of old Karatsu kilns in Nagasaki and Saga prefectures begins
1941: Certified as a technology preservation artist by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry
1955: Selected as an intangible cultural asset of Karatsu ware by the Ministry of Education Cultural Property Protection Committee.
1966: Awarded by Karatsu City for his contributions to the arts and industry.
Received an award from Saga Prefecture for his contributions to the prefectural government in the field of culture.
Received the Purple Ribbon Medal
1969: Awarded the Fourth Class Order of the Sacred Treasure
He was ordained at the Daitokuji Temple in Kyoto. He was given the Buddhist name Doo Sohaku and the title Muan by the head priest, Hoya Komei Roshi.
1976: Recognized as a holder of the Karatsu Ware Important Intangible Cultural Property (Living National Treasure)
1978: Received the title of honorary citizen of Karatsu City
Died on January 5, 1985. Awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Fourth Class, Gold Rays with Rosette.
