1951: First selected for the 7th Japan Art Exhibition (Nitten)
1956: Won the Hokuto Prize at the 12th Japan Art Exhibition (Nitten) for "Tataki Mishima Tsubo"
1958: Won the special prize for "Cow" at the 1st Nitten Exhibition (Shin-Nitten Exhibition)
1961: Received the 1960 Japan Ceramic Association Award
1969: Succeeded to the name of the 13th generation Nakazato Tarouemon
1981: Won the Prime Minister's Award at the 13th Nitten Exhibition for his "Tataki Karatsu Mishima Tetsuki Jar"
1984: Won the Japan Art Academy Award for "Tataki Karatsu Hand-Held Vin" at the 15th Nitten Exhibition
1992: Designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Saga Prefecture
1995: Received Karatsu City Government Merit Award
1997: Received the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon (hereafter, Heisei 11)
2000: Became chairman of the Japan Machinery Association
In 2002, he was ordained at Daitokuji Temple in Kyoto. He was given the name Ginpu Sosho and the hermitage name Hoan by the head priest Fukutomi Setsudae Roshi.
2004: Awarded a PhD from the Kyoto University of Art and Design Graduate School
2007: Became a member of the Japan Art Academy
2008: Awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon
Died on March 12, 2009. Awarded the rank of Shogoi.
