Newsletter (October 10, 2025, Takashi Nakazato, Taki Nakazato, Kenta Nakazato)
Hello everyone.
Last night, the "Hatsukunchi" festival was held at Karatsu Shrine, marking the start of the Karatsu Kunchi festival, with each neighborhood offering their own proud float music.
The sounds of festival music echo through the town every night, and the atmosphere in Karatsu becomes even more heated as the Kunchi festival approaches.
This week's online store will feature works from three generations of Ryuta Kiln, a vibrant brewery in Karatsu.
The legendary Takashi sensei, who also appears on the cover of this year's Karatsu Pottery Tourism brochure, is presented with a Karatsu Nanban sake bottle from when he was a little younger, and a brushed tea bowl that he created as a special project for Ichibankan.
The head of the family, Professor Ogame, gave us a Madara Karatsu bowl and a sake cup.
We will also be introducing his son Kenta's latest work, "Karatsu Nanban Jar."
Each piece is a masterpiece, and the lineage of Ryuta Kiln spanning three generations and the individual personalities of each piece beautifully resonate with each other.
Please take this opportunity to see it.
We have a three-day weekend starting tomorrow. I hope you have a wonderful autumn weekend.
Naoki Sakamoto, Owner of Ichibankan
