Newsletter (August 29, 2025, 2016/)
Hello everyone.
This week marks the end of August.
As the seasons change from summer to autumn, autumn flavors such as new rice and saury are beginning to appear on the market.
Despite the sadness of the end of summer, it's a delicate time when anticipation for the coming autumn appetite grows.
With the recent gastronomy boom,
We have mentioned many times that Karatsu ware is popular among restaurants, but Arita ware is no exception.
What I find particularly appealing about Arita ware is the gorgeous painting, but in recent years, we have also seen an increase in the number of simple, plain pieces that deliberately omit painting.
To commemorate the 400th anniversary of Arita ware in 2016,
Arita potteries are working with overseas designers to create new tableware, and the symbol of this is the "1616 / arita japan" series.
This week on our online store, I'll be showcasing a few of my picks.
The store also stocks a variety of different types, sizes and colors of tableware.

Enjoy the last traces of summer and have a wonderful weekend as we head into September.
