Newsletter (July 11, 2025, Imaizumi Imaemon XIV, Sakaida Kakiemon XV)
Hello everyone.
The sweltering heat continues every day,
I hope you are doing well.
In Fukuoka, the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival is currently in full swing.
With the Oiyama festival in the early morning of the 15th, it seems that the rainy season will be coming to an end in northern Kyushu, but this year the rainy season ended unusually early, and we are still a little confused.
Now, the Karatsu International Film Festival has been held in Karatsu for several years, and this year it will be held again as the Karatsu International Film Festival 2025.
It will be held at Theater Enya inside KARAE from July 8th to 13th.
We hope that the number of participants from overseas will increase and that the festival will grow into a truly international film festival.
Karatsu is full of such events,
Gallery Ichibankan does not have any planned special exhibitions or solo exhibitions in July or August.
However, new products are always arriving,
This week's online store features works from Imaemon Kiln and Kakiemon Kiln.
In the gallery on the second floor, we have a permanent exhibition of various new works.
We have lots of delicious summer foods available, so we hope you'll stop by.
So everyone, please be careful not to get heatstroke and have a great weekend.
Naoki Sakamoto, Owner of Ichibankan
