15th Sakaida Kakiemon

[Ceramic history]

  • 1968 Born in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture. Former name: Hiroshi. After graduating from Imari High School, he entered the Department of Painting at Tama Art University.
  • 1994 After dropping out of university, studied under Juyondai.
  • 2013 Appointed as Chairman of Important Intangible Cultural Property Preservation Group (Kakiemon Ceramics Preservation Society). In February of the same year, he succeeds to the name Jugodai.
