Newsletter (2024/11/22 Yasumoto Kajiwara New Works Exhibition)

Hello everyone.

The sky is high and the horses are fat in autumn. This year has been a strange autumn, sometimes cold and sometimes hot.
As expected, the seasons are changing and the food is delicious.
Autumn is also a season of appetite.

Last week, the 12th Karatsu Pottery Tourism event was successfully completed.
I guess it was just like I thought it would be, but it finally feels like it's taking root.
No matter which potter I asked, they all told me that they had about twice as many customers come to their shows this year as they did last year.

The "Five Lucky Matchmaking Tea Ceremony" held in the Gofukumachi Shopping Street was also a great success, with over 100 guests dressed in kimono relaxing in the autumn shopping street.
We would like to develop this into a signature event in Karatsu as well.

The "Yasumoto Kajiwara New Works Exhibition" currently being held at GALLERY Ichibankan also features
We have many visitors, including those taking part in pottery tourism and restaurants from far away.
Professor Kajiwara is also the chairman of the Old Karatsu Research Exchange Association.
They are very knowledgeable about the history and techniques of pottery from the Old Karatsu and Yi Dynasty, and a different member potter visits every day. There are also potters who work overseas.
The atmosphere at the venue was like that of the Old Karatsu Study Group every day.

We will also be introducing several pieces from the new exhibition in our online store this week.
Please enjoy a glimpse of the work of Professor Kajiwara, who is always one step ahead of the rest.

There will be another holiday this week starting tomorrow.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
