Hello everyone.
There has been really little rain this year in Kyushu.
We've had a lot of drought lately, but it seems like heavy rain is falling almost every day in the Kanto area.
It seems like another typhoon is approaching,
The recent abnormal weather is really troubling.
Over the past few days, we have had a writer and a photographer come to Karatsu from Tokyo to cover autumn Karatsu Kiln Tourism and next year's Karatsu Yakimono Festival.
The tour took us to about nine kilns, mainly those of young ceramic artists, and looking at them again, we noticed that each studio and work had its own unique character, giving us a sense of the depth of the ranks of Karatsu ware ceramic artists.
This time, we had a top photographer take the photos, and we were able to get a lot of wonderful pictures.
You can also see it on the Oi Oi Yakimon Festival Instagram and the Karatsu Yakimon website, so please look forward to it.
This week on the Ichibankan Online Store, we are introducing nine sake cups by Nakazato Taiki of Ryutago Kiln.
I visited Ryuta Kiln for the first time in a while and enjoyed chatting with Professor Ryu and Professor Ogame to select these carefully selected new pieces.
Please take a look.
So, everyone, while preparing for the next typhoon,
We hope you have a great weekend.
