Karatsu Yakimono Club (August 16, 2024)

 Hello everyone.

How did you spend your Obon holidays?
This year's typhoons are likely to skip Kyushu and instead follow a more eastern course than usual, so people from Kanto to Tohoku should still be careful.
After Obon, the cool breezes and chirping of insects begin to greet you in the mornings and evenings, signaling the end of summer.

Ichibankan does not have a holiday for the Obon holiday, so we were open this past week without a break, but I often have the opportunity to guide customers from far away to tourist spots in Karatsu,
In the past few days, I have visited Karatsu Castle, Yobuko, Hatomasaki, and more.

It's been a while since I've felt like a tourist.
Yobuko squid and pot-roasted turban shells from Hatomasaki,
Takeya's eel is another Karatsu summer delicacy that has remained unchanged for the past few decades. Although it's a hot summer, Karatsu is amazing in the summer because the sea is so beautiful. Why not come and experience summer in Karatsu next year? Well, this week on the Ichibankan online store we are introducing the works of Kenta Nakazato of Ryutagomar.
Next week we plan to continue publishing new works by Nakazato Taiki sensei. Ryuta Kiln in summer is also wonderful, as it really gives you the feeling of a Japanese countryside and Japanese summer. This summer is nearing its end,
Summer in Karatsu is definitely recommended. Well, everyone, have a great weekend. Owner of Ichibankan Naoki Sakamoto
