Newsletter (May 9, 2025, 14th generation Nakazato Tarouemon)
Hello everyone.
Now that Golden Week is over, I hope you are returning to your daily lives.
The 13th Karatsu Yakimon Festival was successfully held in Karatsu. This year, we were blessed with great weather and had the largest turnout ever.
In the second half of the event, on May 3rd, we held a talk event with Akiko Higashimura, the manga artist who illustrated the posters and flyers this year.
Professor Higashimura is a true cultural figure, well versed in all sorts of subjects, including pottery, food, kimono, and history.
If he could get involved in Karatsu city's Yakimono Festival and other events in the future, I think he would be the perfect person to help develop the city into a cultural center.
The autobiographical film "Kakaku Shikajika" by Akiko Higashimura will be released on May 16th.
Please take a look.

Well, the "New Works by Tarouemon Nakazato XIV" exhibition has ended at GALLERY Ichibankan.
This year, the event will be held for 11 days from April 26th to May 6th.
Last week, we were unable to post new items to the online store, so
This week we will be introducing several more new sake vessels by Tarouemon Sensei.
From now until the rainy season, it will be a warm and refreshing season of early summer.
Let's change our mindset and enjoy our days again.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
Naoki Sakamoto, Owner of Ichibankan
