Newsletter (April 4, 2025, Sakurei Okamoto)
Hello everyone.
We are now in April. Just when we thought the cherry blossoms had bloomed, the weather suddenly turned cold again, and it feels like we are in a refrigerator, so we can enjoy the cherry blossoms in full bloom for a long time.
April is here and the Karatsu Yakimon Festival is fast approaching once again.
This year marks the 13th anniversary of the event, but I am still working hard as the executive committee chairman.
By the time we had 13 meetings, the various roles had been properly allocated and I didn't have to run around by myself so much.
It's gotten to the point where the people around me just take action on their own.
As with last year, we asked popular manga artist Akiko Higashimura to design the posters and flyers.
The image of the Yakimono Festival is gradually improving.
I think so.
On Saturday, May 3rd (national holiday), there will be a talk event with Akiko-sensei and me, so
Please check out the event details on the Yakimono Festival website and start making your Golden Week plans.

This week on our online store we are introducing several sake vessels from the exhibition of new works by Sakurei Okamoto, which we were unable to introduce last week.
Sakurei-sensei's new works will be posted from time to time even outside of his solo exhibitions, so
If you're a fan of Sakurei, please keep checking it out.
Now that we have entered a new fiscal year, we are feeling refreshed. I hope you all have a great weekend.
