Hello everyone.

Did you enjoy the cherry blossom viewing?
The seasons change so quickly that if you let your guard down, the cherry blossoms will fall in an instant.
The cold weather is finally over and we are well into the season.

This week I'd like to tell you a little about Karatsu Choco Bar.
As for the word choco, as we have explained several times on this site, it is the size of a slightly large sake cup or a slightly smaller teacup, and is a sake cup that allows you to enjoy the aroma of daiginjo sake.
Of course, there are also small sake cups and soba cups.
The word for sake cup is also choko, which is an older word than sake cup.

We want you to enjoy Saga sake in this Karatsu ware choco.
About eight years ago, we opened Karatsu Choco Bar in front of Ichibankan.
I think a lot of people came.

We are usually only open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 18:00, but sometimes we serve lunch as part of events or are open on weekdays, in the hope that we can contribute to making the shopping district more lively.

Today, the 11th, cooking expert Miyuki Shigemura has prepared a special bento lunch box, limited to 20 meals, using plenty of Karatsu ingredients, and music selected by Toshiaki Suzuki, who moved to Karatsu from Sapporo, will be played.
Choco Bar is open for special business.

As a place for interaction between Karatsu locals and tourists,
We would be delighted if Karatsu Choco Bar could be used as a place of relaxation for people who love drinking, eating, music and pottery.

Starting today, Choco Bar will be open on Saturdays and Sundays.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
We look forward to seeing you at Ichibankan and Karatsu Choco Bar.

Naoki Sakamoto, Owner of Ichibankan
