Newsletter (March 7, 2025: Fascinated by the Yi Dynasty "Tsushima - Takesue Hiomi Exhibition")

Hello everyone.

Even though it's March and Setsubun has passed,
It's been cold this year for a long time.
Even so, spring vegetables such as spring cabbage and rape blossoms are lined up in supermarkets and markets,
You can definitely feel the breath of spring.
Eat seasonal foods that boost your immunity.
Let's enjoy the colorful spring.

The "Tsushima - Takesue Hiomi Exhibition" that started last week,
Thanks to the effect of the special feature on Ido tea bowls in the Honoo Geijutsu magazine,
I really came to see the works from all over the place.
Many people came to the venue.

Professor Takesue was also at the venue on the first and second days.
The image of him always making pottery alone in the mountains of Tsushima,
Many people think he is an artistic sage.
They were surprised to see the teacher dressed neatly in a suit and speaking in a friendly manner.
Mr. Takesue, who also serves as a Shinto priest and worked at a government office when he was young,
He is a very friendly and easy to talk to potter.

There are many Ido tea bowls and other items on display this time,
They also have a wide selection of sake vessels and tableware, which seems to be popular with the restaurant staff who visit.
The event will be held until the 9th (Sun), so if you're in the area, please come and join us.

With the arrival of spring, the number of events in the shopping district increases.
It's gradually becoming more and more lively.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
