Newsletter (January 25, 2025 Naoto Yano New Works Exhibition)
Hello everyone.
Even though it's cold today, the days have been warm like spring.
It looks like this winter will be short.
The "Naoto Yano New Works Exhibition" began today at Gallery Ichibankan. For the past few years, the Naoto Yano exhibition has been held at the end of the year, but this time it is being held early in the new year.
The works are made with a particular attention to materials, and are modeled on the classic Ko-Karatsu style, with slight modifications added to it. Although they are not particularly original,
If you look closely, you can see that it has been improved and evolved little by little.
For solo exhibitions, priority is given to customers who line up early in the morning, and the online store starts distributing items at 12 noon, so some works are already sold out, but we are introducing a few of Mr. Yano's most confident works, so please consider them.
Professor Yano will also be at the exhibition venue today and tomorrow.
The exhibition will continue until Sunday, February 2nd. There are a wide variety of large vases, including white porcelain and black Karatsu ware, as well as tea bowls, sake ware, and tableware. If you have time, please come and see them.
Well, I hope you all have a great weekend.
Naoki Sakamoto, Owner of Ichibankan
