Newsletter (January 17, 2025, 14th generation Nakazato Tarouemon)

Hello everyone.
As we approach the coldest time of the year, the days are getting colder and colder, but how are you all doing?
It seems that there are some warm, spring-like days in Tokyo, but influenza is still spreading, so in any case, please take good care of your health.

The mayoral election and city council elections are coming up in Karatsu.
We hope you are interested in the culture including Karatsu ware.
We would like the winner to be someone who will think seriously about how to make the Karatsu Pottery Museum a reality.

Starting next week on the 25th (Saturday), the "Naoto Yano New Works Exhibition" will be held.
It will start in the gallery on the second floor, so this newsletter, which is distributed every Friday,
We will send it out one day later next week on Saturday the 25th.
Before that, this week we will be introducing new works by the 14th generation Nakazato Tarouemon, including sake vessels.

For over 10 years now, I have been working with Tarouemon on various projects aimed at establishing a Karatsu Pottery Museum.
This mayoral election and city council election,
I hope this will be a catalyst for something.

So, everyone, please be careful not to catch a cold.
Have a great weekend this week too.
