Hello everyone.

Today marks the start of November.
The Karatsu Kunchi festival will finally begin in Karatsu tomorrow.
Karatsu Kunchi is the autumn festival of Karatsu Shrine, which begins every year on the evening of November 2nd.
The festival lasts for three days, with the Otabisho Shinko festival on the 3rd and the festival the following day on the 4th.
This year, the weather is a concern, and we are not sure whether the Yoiyama will be held tomorrow.
It seems that it hasn't been decided yet at the moment.

I have been participating in the Okunchi festival since two years ago as the chairman of the Karatsu Tourism Association, so during the Yoiyama and Otabisho Shinko festivals I walk near the mikoshi with the governor and mayor.
When I go around town on the 4th, I'll be accompanying my neighborhood's No. 4 float, "Yoshitsune's Helmet," so if you see me, please feel free to wave.

Kunchi cuisine is an essential part of the Karatsu Kunchi festival, and every year in my household we have a tradition of serving the food on a large Ko-Imari porcelain platter.
This year, I'm thinking of putting whole braised grouper on top for the first time, so if it turns out well, I'll upload it to Instagram.

During the Karatsu Kunchi festival, hotels in Karatsu are often full,
You can enjoy it on a day trip from Fukuoka, so
If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to go and see it.

This week's online store features new works by the 15th generation Sakaida Kakiemon. We hope you enjoy them too.

Well, everyone, tomorrow marks the start of the three-day autumn holiday.
Have a great weekend this week too.
