Newsletter (2024/09/20: Munehiko Maruta, Soichi Maruta Gallery, and Yu Maruta: Father and Son Exhibition)

Hello everyone.

As we enter the equinox, it feels like it might get a little cooler. It's often said that the heat and cold only last until the equinox.

Starting last Saturday, GALLERY Ichibankan is holding a "Munehiko Maruta, Soichi Maruta Gallery, and Yu Maruta: A Father-Son Trio Exhibition."
The exhibition "Father and Son Ceramics" is held every year, and when all three artists' works are displayed together it is truly a spectacular sight. I don't think there are many other ceramic artists who are able to create such powerful works as a father-son duo.

Also, the relationship between parent and child is so good, which is rare these days.
Everyone has such wonderful personalities.
Someone from the exhibition will be at the venue during the three-day weekend starting tomorrow, so please come and see their works and personalities.
Please come to the venue.

On the 22nd (Sunday, public holiday), the third annual Karatsu Sake Breweries Summit will also be held at Gofuku Enmusubi Street.
Although we're a bit worried about the weather, why not come and enjoy an autumn day together by looking at the works at the Maruta Parent and Child Exhibition and sipping some delicious Saga sake!

Well, everyone, have a great weekend.

Naoki Sakamoto, Owner of Ichibankan
