    We have been in business for a long time in our hometown of Karatsu, focusing on the works of Nakazato Tarouemon of Karatsu, also known as the Sanuemon of Hizen, Sakaida Kakiemon and Imaizumi Imaemon of Arita. Regarding Karatsu ware, together with the Nakazato family, we are working hard to preserve the traditions and promote its future development.
    In addition to Sanemon's works, you can also see works by Nakazato Takashi (Ryuta Kiln), Kumamoto Senji (Sekisui Kiln), and young artists.

    We have built a network with Kyushu ceramic artists, focusing on Karatsu ware, and are introducing contemporary ceramic works through solo exhibitions and special exhibitions.
    We focus on works by the father-son trio Nakazato Takashi, Takumi, and Hanako, as well as popular authors such as Okamoto Sakurei, Kajiwara Yasumoto, and Maruta Munehiko, as well as young authors such as Yano Naoto and Takehana Masahiro.
    Being a local location, the gallery also acts as a salon, frequented by artists from Karatsu.

At Ichibankan, our concept is "everyday luxury," and we strive to offer authentic tableware that will enrich your daily life and last for a long time.

At the "Ichibankate Art Ceramics Shop" on the first floor, which began selling ceramics in 1976, you can see a selection of Karatsu ware and Arita ware, centered on works by the 14th generation Nakazato Taroemon, also known as the Sanemon of Hizen, the 14th generation Imaizumi Imaemon, and the 15th generation Sakaida Kakiemon, all in one place. "GALLERY Ichibankan" on the second floor hosts solo exhibitions and special exhibitions by ceramic artists, and its permanent exhibition mainly features works by young artists from Karatsu.
In addition, at "Karatsu Choco Bar" in front of the main store, you can enjoy delicious tea, sake and food from Karatsu on Karatsu ware, with the theme of matching food and tableware. We also aim to create a place where people can bond with each other and where locals and travelers can interact.

For those of you who are unable to make the journey to Karatsu, our online shop will introduce Ichibankan pottery so that you can experience at least a little of the quality of Karatsu ware and Arita ware online.

Karatsu ware is pottery that grows on you the more you use it, and the more its flavor deepens. Just like Karatsu ware, we aim to create a store that will be loved by everyone for many years to come, and that is loved by the Karatsu community.
